Head Coach Natlie Rossi

Natalie Rossi is entering her second year as head coach of the GCU Women’s Ice Hockey team. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., and raised in Edison, N.J., Coach Rossi grew up playing ice hockey and transitioned from boys’ hockey to girls’ hockey in high school. She played for the New Jersey Rockets girls’ club as a defensive player. After high school, Coach Rossi played for State University of New York at Oswego. Her smart hockey play was valued on and off the ice, as she learned how to coach other young players through her experience.

Upon graduating from SUNY Oswego, Coach Rossi coached at all levels (from U8 to U19) with the New Jersey Rockets. She helped grow the organization from two teams to 10 teams. When moving to Arizona, Coach Rossi continued her education at Arizona State University, obtaining a speech-language pathology assistant license while coaching with the Arizona Lady Coyotes, a local youth club. With the Lady Coyotes, Coach Rossi gained coaching experience with the U19, U16, U14 and U12 teams. She even organized an International Girls Hockey weekend event for new local hockey players.

Coach Rossi brings 20 years of playing and coaching experience to GCU, as well as a love for hockey that is reflected in her work ethic and determined coaching attitude. She is pursuing a master’s degree in speech-language pathology while working in schools as a speech assistant. She currently lives in Phoenix and enjoys spending her off-ice time in the kitchen or hiking!
